Photographing Kristy Woodson Harvey for Falling for Peachtree Bluff

There are some photo shoots that are especially fun to be part of, and photographing Kristy Woodson Harvey for the launch of Falling for Peachtree Bluff was definitely one of them.

We photographed at the stunning, newly redesigned Coral Bay Club in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, right at the end of summer and the beginning of fall. It was such a beautiful setting for Kristy and the return of the Peachtree Bluff series.

Kristy is the author of the Peachtree Bluff series, and Falling for Peachtree Bluff brings readers back to the Murphy family and their coastal Southern world.

For the photography, we wanted a mix of beautiful portraits and images that felt natural to Kristy...warm, relaxed, coastal, and full of personality.

That’s one of my favorite parts of photographing people. I want the images to look beautiful, but I also want them to feel like the person in front of my camera.

Kristy is one of those people who makes creating together easy. We tried different ideas and had a lot of fun along the way. Getting to photograph her for such an exciting moment in her career made this session even more fun.

And now, seeing these photographs become part of the excitement surrounding the launch has been pretty amazing.
